On the 2nd (local time), CNBC reported that Crypto.com said it would launch a sports prediction market platform in 16 U.S. states with sports game company Underdog.
Jeremy Levine, founder of Underdog, said in an interview, "The future of prediction markets depends on sports," and "This is one of the most exciting announcements."
Meanwhile, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and federal courts have not yet decided whether sports prediction markets constitute sports gambling. Robinhood, Kalshi, and Polymarket already offer sports betting contracts in the United States.
