The BNB Chain-based cryptocurrency lending protocol Venus (XVS) said it was not a protocol hack.
On the 2nd (local time), Venus said on X (formerly Twitter), "The protocol was not hacked," and "The smart contract is safe." It added, "A specific user was hacked and damage occurred."
Earlier, Venus said an exploit of about $30 million had occurred and is under investigation.
Meanwhile, domestic crypto exchange Bithumb suspended Venus's deposit and withdrawal services due to security issues.
