Donald Trump, the U.S. president, his family and closest aides-led digital asset (cryptocurrency) finance firm World Liberty Financial (WLFI)'s Chief Executive Officer Zach Witkoff indicated that there will be a major announcement at EastPoint:Seoul 2025, which will be held in Seoul on September 22.

Witkoff said on the 3rd (local time), "I am very pleased to be a co-host of the EastPoint event held in Seoul. We are preparing major announcements."

WLFI is a digital asset (cryptocurrency) finance company founded by President Trump and his three sons Trump Jr., Eric, and Barron Trump, Trump's close associate and well-known real estate development magnate Steve Witkoff (U.S. special envoy to the Middle East) and his sons Jack and Alex Witkoff.

EastPoint, to be held at the Grand Hyatt Seoul on September 22, is a private event co-hosted by Bloomingbit, the digital-asset subsidiary of the Hankyung Media Group, global web3 venture capital Hashed, The Korea Economic Daily, and WLFI. Leaders of the global digital asset industry and senior officials from domestic and foreign governments and legislative bodies, companies and institutions will gather in one place.

Witkoff will attend EastPoint representing World Liberty Financial as a co-host. He is expected to share WLFI's core business direction and important details at EastPoint.

This EastPoint will see large participation from White House officials leading U.S. digital asset policy as well as major global web3 leaders, including WLFI. Speakers and panelists include White House Deputy Director Harry Jung, Bo Haines, former chair of the White House virtual asset advisory board (currently Tether's U.S. strategic advisor), and Caroline Pham, Acting Chair of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Senior officials from the two major global stablecoin issuers, Tether and Circle, will also attend to present their business strategies.

Domestically, politicians from both ruling and opposition parties such as Min Byung-duk, Kim Jae-seop, and Lee Jun-seok, along with officials from the four major commercial banks — KB Kookmin Bank, Shinhan Bank, Hana Bank, and Woori Bank — major securities firms, asset managers, and large corporations will all be present.

Overseas participants include Temasek (Singapore sovereign wealth fund), Japan's major financial conglomerate SMBC Nikko Securities, Mastercard, PayPal Ventures, among others. In addition, major domestic and international virtual asset exchanges such as Upbit, Bithumb, and Binance will all attend. Sui (sui) participated as the title sponsor.
