Decentralized exchange (DEX) Uniswap (UNI) is holding a community vote to establish a new corporation in the U.S. state of Wyoming.
The Block reported on the 4th (local time) that "the Uniswap community is holding a vote on a proposal to establish a new corporation in Wyoming." The proposal posted to the community stated that the establishment of a new Wyoming corporation would not affect Uniswap's on-chain governance or the Uniswap token.
The final vote on establishing the new Wyoming corporation will take place on the 8th (local time). The proposal posted to the community said "(the new corporation is) a significant step forward in preparing for the future of Uniswap governance."
Meanwhile, Wyoming last month became the first U.S. state government to issue a stablecoin. The stablecoin was issued across seven blockchains, including Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and Arbitrum (ARB).
