A dormant whale (large investor) transferred Bitcoin (BTC) after 13 years.
According to The Block on the 11th (local time), a dormant whale transferred 137 Bitcoin to a new address that day for the first time in 13 years. The Block said, "The reason for the transfer and the identity of the wallet owner are not yet known," and added, "A transfer of a not-large amount of cryptocurrency could lead to selling."
The whale is reported to hold 445 Bitcoins. At current value, that's about $50.7 million (roughly 70 billion won). On-chain analytics firm OnchainLens said via X (X), "The last day the address was active was November 2012," and added, "At that time, the value of the 445 Bitcoins was only about $5,500."
