Blockchain security and digital asset management specialist IoTrust announced on the 15th that it has been finally selected for the 2025 Scale-up TIPS (Scale-up TIPS) Global Track hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

IoTrust will receive up to 1.4 billion won in government R&D funding over the next 3 years to develop an AI-based next-generation hardware wallet aimed at the global market.

Scale-up TIPS is a program that links private investment and government R&D to intensively nurture promising small and venture companies, and only companies that have attracted investment of at least 1 billion won from an operator can participate. In particular, the Global Track is a newly established program to provide R&D support to promote the scale-up and global market entry of promising small and venture companies with innovative capabilities.

Through this project, IoTrust aims to ▲innovate user experience (UX) based on AI agents ▲develop multi-chain abstraction technology ▲commercialize next-generation hardware wallets. Through this, it plans to fundamentally resolve users' inconveniences in complex key management, the burden of network-specific gas fees, and the processes of asset swapping and bridging.

Since its founding in 2017, IoTrust commercialized the 'world's first fingerprint-authenticated hardware wallet D'CENT' and currently has more than 1 million users in about 220 countries. Over the past three years it has recorded US$3.3 million in export performance and has been recognized for its global growth potential, winning the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' 'Baby Unicorn Plus' and the Korea International Trade Association's 'Million Dollar Export Tower'.

Baek Sang-su, CEO of IoTrust, said, "Through this Scale-up TIPS and related R&D selection, we will innovate the user experience with a next-generation wallet that combines AI and blockchain security technology, and lead global digital asset management infrastructure," adding, "We will strengthen competitiveness and maximize global export performance in key markets such as North America, Europe, and Asia."
