Digital asset custodian BDACS announced on the 16th that it will hold a '1DAY Ideathon' to discover blockchain-based digital services on October 26 at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 1 in Busan.

The event aims to revitalize the blockchain ecosystem and discover local talent in Busan, and global partners such as Avalanche, Polymesh, and GK8 will participate as sponsors and judges. Participants will implement ideas based on the multi-chain infrastructure provided by the partner companies.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and anyone aged 19 or older can participate in teams of 1–5 people. A total of 7 teams will be selected to receive prizes totaling 6,000,000 won, and the grand prize team will receive 1,500,000 won.

BDACS will also offer participants follow-up opportunities such as networking with global layer-1 companies, support for subsequent commercialization, and matching with practical projects.

Ryu Hong-yeol, CEO of BDACS, said, "This ideathon will serve as a pathway for local young people to enter the global ecosystem centered on blockchain technology," and added, "I hope Busan cements its identity as a blockchain special zone and that this becomes a key opportunity to attract a technology-based ecosystem."
