World Chain adopts Chainlink CCIP… WLD cross-chain transfer with Ethereum possible
Summary
- Chainlink said it supports CCIP on World Chain, making WLD tokens cross-chain transfers between Ethereum and World Chain possible.
- World Chain said it will support the formation of the DeFi market and the provision of reliable price data through CCIP integration and the adoption of Data Streams solutions.
- Chainlink and World Chain representatives said they expect this adoption to strengthen WLD token security, liquidity, and global expansion.

Global oracle platform Chainlink announced that it will support the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) on World Chain. World Chain is a layer2 blockchain built separately for the Worldcoin ecosystem.
According to PR Newswire on the 25th (local time), Chainlink said, "World Chain has adopted Chainlink CCIP (Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol), enabling secure transfers of WLD tokens between Ethereum and World Chain." With this adoption, WLD will be linked to CCIP through the cross-chain token (CCT) standard. As a result, developers can connect WLD to CCIP without complicated procedures.
In addition to CCIP, World Chain has adopted the Data Streams solution to secure high-quality price data and support the formation of the DeFi (decentralized finance) market. Accordingly, World Chain developers will be able to build secure derivatives and trading protocols based on reliable price data.
Siodoris Karakostas, Director of Blockchain & Product Partnerships at Chainlink Labs, said, "With WLD adopting Chainlink CCIP and the CCT standard, security and liquidity have been strengthened," and added, "When combined with Data Streams, significant expansion of the WLD market on World Chain is expected."
Steven Smith, Vice President of Engineering at Tools for Humanity, also said, "Through Chainlink CCIP and Data Streams, we can enhance WLD's liquidity and security and accelerate global network expansion."
Meanwhile, Chainlink is a leading decentralized oracle project. An oracle refers to a technology that brings market data or contract information from the web onto the blockchain. CCIP is a next-generation oracle protocol developed by Chainlink that, beyond simple data delivery, supports token and message transfers between different blockchains.
