Binance: Altcoin futures trading share surpasses 82%… "All-time high"
Summary
- Global exchange Binance reported that altcoin perpetual futures trading share reached an all-time high of 82.3%.
- This figure exceeds the 76% seen during the 2021 bull market, and it was reported that traders expect greater opportunities and profit potential in altcoin futures than in Bitcoin.
- It was reported that recently Astar (ASTR), Xplore (XPL), Solana (SOL), and PumpDotFun (PUMP) have been leading the increase in trading volume.

The global crypto exchange Binance recorded an all-time high share of 82.3% for altcoin perpetual futures trading.
On the 30th (local time), according to Maartunn, a CryptoQuant contributor, the proportion of altcoins in Binance's futures trading exceeded 82% for the first time. This means altcoin trading is more active than Bitcoin (BTC) futures trading.
He explained, "Traders are expecting greater opportunities or profit potential in altcoin futures than in Bitcoin," and added, "For example, Astar (ASTR) surged 250% just last week." Recently, Xplore (XPL), Astar (ASTR), Solana (SOL), and PumpDotFun (PUMP) have led the increase in trading volume.
This figure is higher than during the 2021 bull market. At that time, the share of altcoin trading rose to 76%, a period referred to in the market as an 'altcoin season.' However, analysts say that this time an even stronger preference for altcoins is emerging.
