Robinhood appears to be seeking entry into overseas prediction markets.

On the 1st (local time), Bloomberg reported that Robinhood is considering ways to expand prediction market products to countries outside the United States. To this end, it has been reported that Robinhood is in contact with foreign regulators such as the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and is discussing how prediction markets could be offered locally.

However, differences in regulatory frameworks by country are an obstacle. In the United States, prediction markets are classified as futures products, whereas in other regions they are often grouped into categories close to gambling.
