BitMine buys an additional $800 million worth of Ethereum… holdings surpass 2.83 million

Ethereum (ETH) holder BitMine Immersion Technologies said it recently purchased an additional approximately $821 million worth of Ethereum over the past week. As a result, the company's Ethereum holdings increased to a total of 2.83 million, and its assets (including cash) amount to $13.4 billion.

On the 6th (local time), according to CoinDesk, BitMine said in a statement that its Ethereum holdings, which were 2.65 million as of September 29, increased by about 180,000. This is the cumulative amount in just one week, and it is estimated that about $821 million worth of Ethereum was purchased during that period.

BitMine increased its Ethereum holdings from 566,776 in July of this year to more than four times that amount in just three months, holding the largest amount of Ethereum among companies. It is currently the second-largest corporate holder of crypto assets, after Strategy, the largest corporate holder by Bitcoin (BTC) holdings.

BitMine reiterated its goal to secure up to 5% of Ethereum's total supply in the long term. The company has presented a long-term vision that Ethereum will grow into a core network for financial infrastructure and AI-linked workloads.
