"No stake in Hyperliquid"… Changpeng Zhao rejects affiliation rumors with Easy Labs

Changpeng Zhao (Changpeng Zhao·CZ), co-founder of Binance, directly stated that "Easy Labs (formerly Binance Labs) does not hold any form of investment or equity in Hyperliquid."

On the 10th (local time), CZ explained via X (formerly Twitter) that "Hyperliquid founder Jeff participated in Easy Labs' first incubation cohort program in 2018, but the project ended in failure and the investment was not recovered."

He said, "At that time I had almost no interaction with Jeff, and only learned of that fact earlier this year through Ella," and added, "A few months ago I scheduled a call with Jeff but it did not proceed due to a scheduling mix-up."

CZ continued, "As far as I know, Easy Labs does not hold any form of investment (equity·tokens, etc.) in Hyperliquid," and said, "Nevertheless we support all builders."
