5 million increase in a year and a half

Internet bank K Bank said on the 15th that its total number of customers surpassed 15 million. This is an achievement a year and a half after exceeding 10 million in March last year.

Analysts say growth has been notable as it has actively targeted the individual business market, including small merchants and the self-employed. K Bank's individual business customers exceeded 2 million last month. It doubled from 1 million at the end of 2023 in 1 year and 9 months. During the same period, the share of individual business owners among all customers also rose from 9% to 14%. The cumulative amount of loans to individual business owners exceeded 3 trillion won.

A K Bank official said, "It means 1 out of 3 people in the country use K Bank," adding, "Providing tailored products for individual business owners, such as business owner real estate-secured loans, proved effective."

Along with the increase in customers, asset size also grew significantly, expanding from 21.4 trillion won at the end of 2023 to 33.4 trillion won at the end of the third quarter of this year.
