MegaETH partners with Chainlink… Deploys real-time data oracle
Summary
- MegaETH announced that it deployed the industry's first real-time data oracle to its blockchain through collaboration with Chainlink.
- Chainlink data streams are integrated directly into the MegaETH blockchain at ultra-low latency, allowing all smart contracts to access high-frequency market data in real time.
- Accordingly, MegaETH said it has laid the foundation to implement real-time settlement, funding, and derivative market infrastructure for DeFi applications at centralized exchange levels.

MegaETH announced on the 17th that it deployed the industry's first real-time on-chain Data Streams Oracle to its blockchain together with Chainlink. MegaETH is an Ethereum (ETH) Layer 2 blockchain aiming for a real-time blockchain with performance of 100,000 TPS and 10 ms latency.
The collaboration is carried out as the world's first protocol-level system that delivers Chainlink's market data directly to the MegaETH blockchain at millisecond-level ultra-low latency.
Specifically, Chainlink data streams are integrated into the MegaETH execution environment as a native precompile, allowing all smart contracts to access high-frequency market data on-chain in real time. The aim is to enable DeFi applications such as futures, prediction markets, and stablecoins (virtual assets pegged to fiat currency) to achieve responsiveness and accuracy at centralized exchange levels.
The company described the integration as "a new oracle model that combines the simplicity of on-chain oracles with the immediacy of streaming data." Key features include an ultra-low-latency structure where data is updated immediately upon smart contract calls, precompile accessibility that reads market data directly without off-chain logic, and a data catalog covering cryptoassets (cryptocurrencies)·stocks·commodities·real-world assets (RWA).
In the initial phase of the collaboration, MegaETH will focus on on-chain price discovery through high-frequency cryptoasset data supply. Based on this, it plans to lay the groundwork for building real-time settlement, funding, and derivatives market infrastructure for DeFi applications at the level of centralized trading infrastructure.
Lei Yang, MegaETH co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), said, "By integrating Chainlink data streams at the protocol level, developers can access efficient, low-latency market data on-chain," adding, "We expect this will make MegaETH a core infrastructure for next-generation real-time DeFi applications."
