On the 17th (local time), Fortune reported that Tempo, a payments-focused blockchain jointly developed by global payments platform Stripe and investment firm Paradigm, has raised $500 million in funding.
Tempo is a project Stripe unveiled after acquiring stablecoin infrastructure company Bridge for $1.1 billion, and was designed as a blockchain specialized for payments and financial transactions.
Stripe said Tempo "will provide fast and secure digital payment experiences and plans to expand stablecoin and DeFi (decentralized finance) integration features in the future."
