As Binance completed its acquisition of domestic virtual assets (cryptocurrencies) exchange Gopax, it is reported that it plans to pursue a '1 exchange n banks' strategy alongside pursuing partnerships with multiple banks.
According to industry sources on the 18th, Binance plans to move away from the existing '1 exchange 1 bank' structure and seek real-name account partnerships with several commercial banks. It also announced the introduction of services based on its native token BNB. BNB offers various benefits such as trading fee discounts, and using it can provide up to an additional 25% fee reduction.
Earlier, the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) accepted Gopax's executive change notification on the 15th and gave final approval to Binance's acquisition of Gopax. Binance acquired a 67.45% stake in Gopax in February 2023, but the deal had been stalled for more than two years due to delays in approval of executive changes.
