Korea-based virtual asset (cryptocurrency) exchange Korbit announced on the 20th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with international child rights NGO Save the Children to promote a culture of virtual asset donations. The signing ceremony was held on the 16th at the Save the Children Korea headquarters, and Korbit CEO Oh Se-jin and Save the Children President Jeong Tae-young, along with officials from both organizations, attended.

Through this agreement, both parties agreed to incorporate the transparency and efficiency of blockchain into the donation culture and to build a sustainable social contribution model through virtual asset donations. The first joint project is the "Korbit·Save the Children: Give a Warm Meal to Children" campaign, which begins today.

Korbit members can donate major virtual assets such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), XRP (XRP), and Tether (USDT) to a Save the Children-designated wallet address, and the collected assets will be used in full to support meals for children at risk of hunger.

Korbit CEO Oh Se-jin said, "As Korea's first exchange, it is meaningful to spread a culture of virtual asset donations together with Save the Children," adding, "Based on the transparency and speed of blockchain, we will create an efficient donation system so that more people can participate in 'good influence'."
