Eli Ben-Sasson, StarkWare CEO, warned that "blockchains controlled by companies will ultimately fail." He said the core of blockchain is removing central control, and that 'corporate chain (corpo chain)' that refuse this will be shunned by users in the long run.

According to CoinDesk on the 21st (local time), Ben-Sasson said, "An important element of blockchain is a system that removes a central actor," adding, "This is technically very complex and difficult to build, but in return it provides users with autonomy and a trustless transaction environment." He added that improvements to user experience through Account Abstraction(Account Abstraction·AA) are underway, but "technical complexity itself remains an essential characteristic of blockchain."

He also said, "While it is positive that companies are trying to adopt blockchain technology, users will eventually turn away from centrally controlled networks," forecasting that "companies will abandon these chains within a few years due to the technical maintenance burden and low user participation."

He emphasized that blockchain technology was originally "a system created to replace financial institutions and return asset control to individuals," and mentioned community concerns about corporate-led blockchains such as the layer-1 network 'Tempo' unveiled by Stripe.
