U.S. President Donald Trump is reported to have pardoned Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ). This news immediately caused the price of Binance's utility token BNB to surge up to 8%.

On the 23rd (local time), according to economic breaking news channel Walter Bloomberg, President Trump pardoned Changpeng Zhao, who had been convicted on charges of violating the anti-money laundering law. This move is interpreted as aligning with the Trump administration's 'revitalization of the virtual asset (cryptocurrency) industry' stance.

Market reaction was immediate. BNB rose 8% in the short term immediately after the pardon news, climbing to around 1161 dollars. Among investors, there was analysis that "expectations for regulatory easing could expand."

However, there has been no official confirmation from the U.S. government or the White House regarding this report. The industry urged a cautious approach, saying, "If the pardon is confirmed as fact, there is a possibility that the direction of virtual asset policy in the United States could be drastically relaxed."

As of 00:51 on the 24th, BNB was trading at 1140.36 dollars, up 5.51% from the previous day on the Binance Tether (USDT) market.
