Summary

  • Aria said it will expand its activities into the visual arts field through a partnership with the global digital art platform Sedition.
  • The two companies said they will provide creators and investors with new monetization opportunities through a real-world asset (RWA) trading method and revenue distribution structure based on the Story blockchain.
  • They said the cooperation between Aria and Sedition demonstrates the potential for creator-based IP to evolve into a new asset class through the expansion of web3-based RWA and visual arts portfolios.

The intellectual property (IP) blockchain infrastructure company Story's ecosystem project Aria Protocol (Aria) announced on the 24th that it has signed a partnership with the global digital art platform Sedition.

Aria is an IP-based platform built on the Story blockchain that supports creators and investors to trade and earn revenue from various creative works such as music, visual art, and broadcasting in the form of real-world assets (RWA).

Sedition is a global digital art platform that connects contemporary artists and collectors worldwide and holds works by world-renowned artists such as Yoko Ono, Refik Anadol, and Tracey Emin. In particular, it showcases museum-quality digital works on screens around the world in collaboration with global companies and cultural institutions such as Samsung, LG, and Sony, and provides artists with a royalty-based sustainable revenue model.

Through this cooperation, Aria will expand its activities from music-centered IP into the field of visual arts and connect web3-based RWA investors and creator communities with Sedition's global contemporary art platform. It also plans to build a new form of global creative ecosystem that connects web3 creators and traditional art ecosystems.

It will also operate a Visual Art Grant Program. Works produced through this program will be registered on the Sedition platform, and the streaming revenues of those works will be tokenized by Aria and distributed to artists and Aria IP RWA token holders. This structure will be implemented based on the Story blockchain, and Aria intends through this to include visual arts in its IP RWA portfolio to offer both creators and investors new opportunities for patronage, licensing, and monetization.

Dyl Blaquiere, CEO of Sedition, said, "Sedition's mission is to help artists realize their works in new ways within digital environments," adding, "This cooperation is more than simple tokenization; it is a process of building a sustainable art ecosystem where creators can monetize IP and expand their fans and audiences."

David Kostiner, Aria co-founder, said, "The partnership with Sedition is an important turning point for Aria to fully enter the field of visual arts and its unique IP domain," adding, "Through this cooperation we will show that creator-based IP can evolve into a new asset class that is experienced, shared, and monetized."
