The three major U.S. stock indices closed mixed. The Nasdaq Composite rose 0.55% from the previous day on the 30th to 23,958.47 points.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.15% to 47,632.65 points, and the S&P 500 index closed at 6,890.73 points.
