The number of job openings in the United States in November last year fell short of market expectations.

On the 8th (local time), according to the Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS) released by the U.S. Department of Labor, the number of job openings in the U.S. in November last year was 7.146 million. This figure was 464,000 fewer than the experts' forecast (7.61 million). Compared with the previous month's revised figure (7.449 million), it was 303,000 less.

Earlier, monthly job openings in the U.S. rebounded in September–October last year. In July–August last year, monthly job openings remained at 7.2 million, raising concerns about a cooling labor market.
