Trump: "The U.S. must be No.1 in the virtual asset industry… we can't give it to China"
Summary
- President Trump emphasized the virtual asset industry as a strategic industry for the United States and said he would not cede leadership in competition with China.
- He said regulation could negatively affect industry growth and job creation, and emphasized that the U.S. must remain number one.
- President Trump reaffirmed his clear support for virtual assets, suggesting that this stance could also affect the investment environment.

U.S. President Donald Trump maintained that virtual assets (cryptocurrencies) are a strategic industry for the United States. He said he would not cede leadership in competition with China.
On the 4th (Korean time), according to WatcherGuru, President Trump said in an interview, "China is getting very heavily involved in the virtual asset industry. We cannot let China dominate this sector," and added, "If we suppress this industry with regulation, we will lose jobs and growth opportunities."
He went on, "I want to make America's virtual asset industry great. I will not let China become number one in the world," emphasizing, "Virtual assets are an industry where only the number one exists. The United States is currently number one and, like artificial intelligence (AI), will maintain that position."
There was also criticism of former President Biden. President Trump claimed, "I publicly supported virtual assets during the campaign, while Biden opposed them," and "When I won nearly 100% of the votes from virtual asset supporters, Biden suddenly changed his stance," he asserted.
