The U.S. House has officially passed a bill to reopen the federal government.

On the 13th (local time), according to the Kobeisi Letter, the U.S. House voted on a stopgap funding bill to end the government shutdown (temporary suspension of operations) and passed it 222 to 209.

The bill passed the Senate on the 10th, and now only the signature of U.S. President Donald Trump remains. Trump is scheduled to sign at 9:45 p.m. on the 13th (Korean time 11:45 a.m. on the 14th).

If Trump signs, it will take effect immediately, and the roughly six-week government shutdown will officially end.
