On the 25th (local time), the Department of Government Efficiency said via its official X, "The Reuters report on DOGE's disbandment is fake news. Last week DOGE terminated 78 wasteful contracts, saving $335 million in budget," and added, "The regular Friday update will be released in a few days as scheduled."
Earlier, Reuters and some other foreign media reported that DOGE had ceased operations, but DOGE completely denied this and reaffirmed its intention to continue its government reform agenda.
