According to the Kobeissi Letter on the 1st (local time), Bitcoin plunged about 4,000 dollars over roughly 2 hours, and about 400 million dollars of leveraged long positions were forcibly liquidated over the past 60 minutes.
Despite the recent rebound, volatility appears to have widened again amid still shallow market liquidity. Meanwhile, Bitcoin is currently trading at 87,162.80 dollars, down 4.1% from the previous day, according to CoinMarketCap.
