Blockchain-focused company Ripple has completed the acquisition of GTreasury.
On the 5th (Korean time), according to Coinpedia, a virtual asset (cryptocurrency) specialized media, Ripple announced via X (formerly Twitter) that it had completed the acquisition of GTreasury for $1 billion.
GTreasury is a major financial management platform that global companies use for liquidity management and fund transfers. By integrating digital asset infrastructure into the systems that GTreasury's corporate customers already use, Ripple is able to provide real-time payments and on-demand liquidity services.
With this acquisition, Ripple will expand access to traditional financial markets and plans to reach existing financial markets, where blockchain adoption has been slow, more quickly.
