Jamie Dimon, JPMorgan CEO, flatly denied allegations that the firm closed customer accounts because of certain political leanings or religious backgrounds. He emphasized that he has worked for more than 10 years to improve debanking rules.

On the 8th (local time), according to Cointelegraph, Dimon told Fox News' 'Sunday Morning Futures' in an interview: 'Banks may stop services for various reasons, but political views are not taken into account.' He stressed, 'Discriminatory debanking based on politics or religion is not true.'

These remarks were in response to several recent allegations. Devin Nunes, chairman of the President's Intelligence Advisory Board and CEO of Trump Media, claimed that JPMorgan debanked his company and that JPMorgan accounts were included in special counsel Jack Smith's subpoena of financial records from about 400 individuals and organizations associated with Trump.

Jack Mallers, CEO of Strike, also raised the issue last month, saying JPMorgan closed his personal account 'without any explanation.' This has rekindled concerns about 'Operation Chokepoint 2.0,' which was controversial during the Biden administration. In addition, Houston Morgan, marketing head of non-custodial crypto trading platform ShapeShift, also said he experienced a similar account closure in November.
