XRP issuer Ripple Labs is expanding cooperation with the Solana (SOL) ecosystem and accelerating the expansion of global payment and real-economy services.
On the 13th (local time), at the 'Breakpoint 2025' fireside chat held at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, Luke Judges, Ripple Labs' global partner lead, emphasized, "Solana is a public blockchain capable of processing large-scale transactions per second, and is one of the few networks that can be deployed in actual financial and commercial areas."
Judges explained that he is focusing on connecting new markets and user bases at scale through Solana. He said, "Millions of users worldwide hold Solana wallets, which means the payment, settlement, and real-economy-linked services provided by Ripple Labs can be scaled immediately," adding, "Such a user base enables the rapid adoption of new financial applications."
Ripple in particular presented strengthening interoperability with Solana-based cross-chain infrastructure as an important strategy. Judges forecasted, "The technology has already entered a mature stage, and as compatibility among multiple networks increases, real-use models will grow explosively." He went on to say, "Ripple Labs is working with various partners to build an environment in which the Solana ecosystem is connected to actual banks and payment providers."
He also assessed that Solana has a structure that can drive large-scale adoption by countries and corporations. Judges said, "Just as fiat currencies are accepted everywhere in the world, digital tokens gain true utility only when widely distributed across countries," and explained, "Solana's scalability and cost structure are key elements that can realize this."
Finally, Judges said, "Through Solana, Ripple aims to create an environment where anyone can access the global financial system," emphasizing, "An open network in which developers, companies, and governments all participate will be the foundation of financial innovation."
