Dunamu, operator of the digital asset exchange Upbit, said on the 16th that it held the awards ceremony for the 'Digital Healing Garden Contest' together with the Korea Forest Service, the Seoul Metropolitan Government, and the Korea Arboretum and Garden Management.

The awards ceremony took place on the 15th at the Sejong National Arboretum with officials in attendance. The Digital Healing Garden is an immersive healing space implemented by Dunamu using digital technologies, characterized by combining LED media facades with sound, scent, and temperature effects to provide an experience as if being in an actual forest. The space drew attention with more than 30,000 visitors during the 2025 Seoul International Garden Expo.

This contest was prepared to expand the possible uses of the Digital Healing Garden and was held in two categories: space model proposals and content and program development. After judging, a total of six teams were selected as winners.

The grand prize was awarded to Team CALLA, composed of students from Korea University, the University of Seoul, and Hansung University. Team CALLA proposed 'My Fractal Garden,' which used fractal structures as a motif and combined AI and NFT technologies. The concept involves implementing fractal images generated based on an individual's biometric data and the frequencies of plants as NFTs and expanding them into a digital forest, and the judging panel highly praised the fusion of nature and technology.

The excellence award went to Park Jeong-hyeok's booth-type healing garden model that utilized XR and IoT technologies. Other winning works included an AI-based psychological response garden and an XR plant experience platform for the elderly. The winning works will be used in the future for actual Digital Healing Garden operations and for advancing healing programs.

Oh Kyung-seok, CEO of Dunamu, said, "This contest showed, as the Digital Healing Garden aims, how technology can reproduce and expand nature," adding, "We will continue to discover new values of technology through various attempts and contribute to a sustainable future."
