The Korea Financial Security Institute announced on the 31st that it will revise the 2026 vulnerability analysis and evaluation criteria.
To respond to changes in the IT environment, it reorganized the existing electronic financial infrastructure evaluation criteria and established new evaluation criteria for virtual asset (cryptocurrency) exchanges.
The amendment expanded evaluation targets in cloud management systems and OS·container virtualization system areas by reflecting the spread of public cloud and the adoption of virtualization systems. It also strengthened management and inspection criteria for systems whose security patch support has ended.
In particular, through the amendment, in line with the regulation and market expansion of virtual assets, it newly established the 'compliance', 'blockchain', 'wallet', and 'smart contract' areas for virtual asset exchanges to strengthen security evaluations.
