'NFT Paris 2026', regarded as one of the world’s largest non-fungible token (NFT) events, has been canceled about a month before its opening.

According to Katenna on the 10th (Korea time), the organizers of NFT Paris officially announced the cancellation via X (formerly Twitter).

NFT Paris 2026 had been scheduled for Feb. 5–6 at the Grande Halle de la Villette in Paris, France, with around 20,000 attendees and hundreds of speakers expected. A number of events covering real-world assets (RWA), Bitcoin-based digital collectibles, and artificial intelligence (AI)-focused Web3 projects had also been planned during the conference.

However, the event was called off as the downturn in the NFT market has dragged on. NFT trading volume has remained roughly 95% below 2021 levels, aside from a temporary rebound last year. Flagship NFT collections such as Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and CryptoPunks have also seen steep declines in value.

The organizers said, “We will issue full refunds to ticket buyers within 15 days.” General admission tickets were priced at $231.33, and VIP tickets at $1,161.30.

Some sponsors and participating artists, however, are raising concerns, saying they have not received refunds. One artist said, “The organizers explained that it is difficult to reimburse us because event-related costs already incurred exceed the sponsorship amount.”..
