According to Cointelegraph on the 28th (local time), Ripple has launched an enterprise treasury platform that combines blockchain payment infrastructure with GTreasury’s cash-management software. The platform is designed to let companies maintain existing internal controls and financial operating processes while speeding up settlement and improving visibility across accounts.

Ripple said the platform focuses on addressing structural issues long faced by corporate finance teams, including multi-day settlement delays, cross-border remittance costs, and inefficiencies tied to idle cash. In particular, a stablecoin-based settlement structure is designed to reduce FX risk in cross-border payments and significantly shorten payment times versus existing processes.

Renaat Berckmoes, CEO of GTreasury, said, “A significant amount of corporate clients’ cash is tied up and does not move overnight and on weekends,” adding, “If settlement times are reduced to minutes, funds that had been inactive can actually be put to work.” He added that “the key is to provide full visibility into flows of digital assets and fiat currency on a single platform.”

The platform is designed to support idle-cash deployment strategies even outside bank business hours. Ripple said it enables companies to manage funds more flexibly while keeping existing investment policies and risk-management frameworks in place.

Ripple signaled an expansion of its corporate finance infrastructure last October by acquiring GTreasury for $1 billion. Ripple’s U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoin RippleUSD (RLUSD) is now being used as a key tool in corporate payments and settlement infrastructure, with a market capitalization of about $1.42 billion.
