Iorora, which has rolled out finance and payment services centered on K-POP fandoms, is moving to scale up its K-POP digital-asset and NFT business on the back of a partnership with Alipay’s digital collectibles business.

On the 29th, Iorora said it has recently been working in tandem with Alipay’s global digital collectibles service infrastructure to roll out an NFT and digital-asset business leveraging K-POP artist IP in phases. Through this, the company plans to introduce a new fandom experience model to global markets that connects artists and fans.

Iorora is a company that has designed fan experiences by addressing payment and accessibility issues that arise as global fans consume K-POP content. Building on this understanding of fandom, it is using digital assets and NFTs not as a simple concept of ownership, but as a means to expand fan participation, records and experiences.

Under the project, digital collectibles and NFTs based on K-POP artist IP are set to be combined with a range of online and offline fan experiences, including exhibitions, events and participatory fan content. Fans will be able to broaden touchpoints with artists through digital assets and enjoy new ways of participating as part of global fandom activities.

“We are focusing on naturally integrating digital assets and NFTs into the fan experience as a finance and services company that best understands K-POP fandom,” said Jang Young-soo, CEO of Iorora. “With the linkage to Alipay’s digital collectibles business as a catalyst, we will rapidly expand a competitive K-POP digital-asset model in global markets as well.”

Iorora said it will continue to broaden cooperation with global platforms and steadily expand the scope of digital-asset and NFT-based services for K-POP fandoms going forward.
