[Market] Bitcoin slips below $77,000…Ethereum also breaks below $2,300

Major altcoins, including Ethereum (ETH), are also broadly in the red. Ethereum was down 5.14% from the previous day at $2,291.16 on CoinMarketCap, while XRP (XRP) was trading at $1.59, down 1.94%. Solana (SOL) was down 2.04% at $101.01.
The latest selloff was triggered after Kevin Warsh—seen by markets as relatively hawkish—was nominated as the next chair of the Federal Reserve (Fed). Markets are watching closely whether Warsh can clear the Senate confirmation hurdle.
