As prominent digital-asset sleuth ZachXBT recently exposed alleged insider trading at Solana (SOL)-based exchange Axiom (AXIOM), signs have emerged that some individuals linked to Axiom booked outsized profits on Polymarket, where bets tied to the matter were placed.

On the 27th (Korea time), digital-asset outlet CoinDesk reported that there were indications of large bets on Axiom on the day before, prior to ZachXBT’s disclosure. The report said the activity raises suspicion of insider involvement.

The bet was created on Polymarket ahead of ZachXBT’s revelation, asking “which firm will be singled out as the target of insider-trading allegations.” The market drew heavy community attention, with roughly $40 million (about 50 billion won) flowing in.

According to on-chain data analyzed by CoinDesk, 12 anonymous wallet addresses placed concentrated bets that Axiom would be the party behind the alleged insider trading just before the disclosure, generating more than $1 million (about 1.3 billion won) in profits. Some of those wallets were found to have been newly created shortly before ZachXBT’s post went public.

CoinDesk said, “Up until early this week, another platform was discussed as the leading candidate for the insider-trading exposé, but sentiment swung toward Axiom starting the day before the disclosure,” adding, “Given that ZachXBT asked Axiom questions and conducted an interview ahead of publishing, there is a possibility that the company became aware of the investigative findings in advance.”
