With the possibility of an Iran strike by the Donald Trump US administration coming into focus, China’s foreign-affairs authorities have advised their citizens to evacuate Iran.
According to industry sources on the 27th, China’s Foreign Ministry said on social media that “as external safety (security) risks facing Iran have risen markedly in recent days, a number of countries have issued notices advising their citizens to evacuate,” adding that “in light of the current security situation in Iran, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chinese Embassy in Iran remind Chinese nationals not to travel to Iran for the time being; Chinese citizens in the country should strengthen safety precautions and evacuate as soon as possible.”
It added that “Chinese missions stationed in Iran and neighboring countries will provide the necessary assistance for Chinese nationals to travel via commercial flights or overland routes.”
