Strategy, a major corporate holder of Bitcoin (BTC), has raised the monthly dividend rate on its STRC perpetual preferred stock to 11.5% for March 2026. The move represents a 25 bp (0.25%-point) increase, enacted amid a recent pullback in the crypto market and growing macro uncertainty.

According to Cointelegraph on the 1st (local time), Strategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor said on X that STRC’s March monthly dividend rate has been lifted to 11.5%. STRC is a perpetual preferred stock with no maturity, meaning there is no obligation to redeem it at a specific time, and its dividend rate is a floating structure adjusted each month.

According to the company’s website, the STRC dividend rate is adjusted monthly to encourage trading around its $100 par value and to help dampen price volatility. Dividends are paid monthly, with the next payment date set for March 31.

Previously, Strategy CEO Phong Le said in February that the company raised $7 billion last year through STRC and perpetual preferred stock—equivalent to 33% of the overall preferred stock market—and that it would shift this year to preferred-focused capital raising instead of issuing common stock.

Even as Bitcoin has fallen by nearly half from its October peak last year, the company has maintained its buying stance. Bitcoin is down about 23% so far this year, while the Bitwise Bitcoin Standard Corporations ETF (OWNB), which invests in listed companies that hold large amounts of Bitcoin, has also slid around 16%.

With market volatility rising, Strategy is recalibrating its strategy to strengthen a preferred-driven funding structure while minimizing dilution to common shareholders.
