Bybit has announced a review of employee safety in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and steps to strengthen its emergency response framework.
According to WuBlockchain on the 1st (local time), Bybit said it plans to (1) individually check the safety status of staff working in the UAE, (2) designate backup managers for each key role in the UAE, and (3) activate cross-regional support systems to ensure business continuity.
It also said it will build a power backup system in its office to sustain operations for at least eight hours in the event of an emergency, and postpone all employee relocation plans to the UAE until further notice.
The move is seen as a pre-emptive response to operational risks on the ground as geopolitical tensions in the Middle East escalate.
