As U.S. President Donald Trump signaled a hard-line stance toward Iran, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian also made clear that there would be “no unconditional surrender.”
According to China’s CCTV on the 7th (Korea time), Pezeshkian said in a national address, “The people must unite to defend the country,” delivering the message.
He added, however, that Iran would not carry out further attacks on neighboring countries. Pezeshkian said, “Through a meeting on the 6th, the interim leadership council approved that we will no longer attack neighboring countries unless those neighboring countries attack Iran first.”
A day earlier, Trump said, “The only way Iran ends this war is ‘unconditional surrender.’”
