According to Walter Bloomberg on the 20th (local time), JPMorgan said that if the Ras Laffan LNG facility is attacked, Qatar’s 2026 nominal GDP could fall by as much as 9%.
Ras Laffan is one of the world’s largest LNG export hubs and plays a pivotal role in the global energy supply chain.
As a result, disruptions at the facility could have significant spillover effects not only on Qatar’s economy but also on the global gas market.
