According to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) on the 21st (Korea time), Commander Brad Cooper said, “We recently dropped several 5,000-pound bombs on an underground facility along Iran’s coastline.”
Cooper added, “The strike eliminated anti-ship missiles and launch equipment that had been concealed in the area, and also destroyed radar and intelligence-support facilities that had been monitoring vessel movements.”
The U.S. military assessed that the operation significantly degraded Iran’s capabilities that had threatened international commercial activity around the Strait of Hormuz, and said it would continue striking related facilities and forces going forward.
