According to Al Jazeera on the 28th (KST), Yahya Saree, spokesperson for Yemen’s Houthi rebels, said they had “carried out the first military attack against Israel.”
Specifically, the Houthis claimed they fired several ballistic missiles at military facilities in the southern part of the West Bank, which Israel occupies.
Earlier around dawn, the Israeli military announced that Yemen’s Houthi rebels had launched missiles toward Israel.
The Houthi spokesperson stressed that “this attack was in response to civilian deaths and strikes on infrastructure in Lebanon, Iran, Iraq and Palestine,” adding that it “will continue until the declared objectives are achieved and attacks on all resistance fronts stop.”
