With Bitcoin (BTC) prices recently sliding sharply, major U.S. investment bank Goldman Sachs has released an analysis suggesting Bitcoin has reached a low.

According to Forbes on the 28th (Korea time), Goldman Sachs analyst James Yaro wrote in a report that “in this cycle, the magnitude of the decline in Bitcoin and cryptoasset (cryptocurrency) prices has nearly reached the average peak-to-trough level seen in the past.”

In fact, Bitcoin is down about 40% from its all-time high last October and is currently trading around $66,000.

Goldman Sachs, however, said that while a bottom may have formed in price terms, the decline in trading volume warrants caution. Yaro said, “While the cryptoasset market may have formed a bottom, trading volume could fall further,” adding that “if weak trading volume persists, companies in the cryptoasset industry could face declining revenue in 2026.”

He added, “In periods of low trading volume, price volatility tends to increase, and even if a rebound occurs, its durability may be limited.”

Meanwhile, alongside this analysis, Goldman Sachs maintained its “buy” rating on major crypto-related companies such as Coinbase and Robinhood.
