The White House has reportedly informed allies in private that reaching a diplomatic agreement with Iran will take time.
According to a CBS report on the 29th (local time), two sources familiar with the matter said the United States believes the back-and-forth over the war will continue for another 2–4 weeks.
Iran, too, is taking a cautious stance in the talks. Two sources close to Iranian officials said Tehran expects diplomatic negotiations to be protracted and is skeptical about whether the U.S. has the will to reach an agreement.

Meanwhile, Iran is also skeptical about the timetable for ending the fighting presented by the U.S. and Israel. The Israel Defense Forces previously said it expects the fighting to continue until Passover (the first week of April).
