Solana (SOL)-based decentralized exchange (DEX) Drift (DRIFT) has attempted to make direct contact with the hacker.
On the 3rd (Korea time), cryptocurrency news outlet Cointelegraph reported that Drift sent on-chain messages to wallet addresses believed to be holding the stolen funds, asking to open a dialogue.
Drift told four wallets suspected to belong to the hacker that it was "ready to talk" and asked them to get in touch via "Blockscan chat."
A day earlier, the hacker attacked Drift and stole about $285 million worth of crypto assets. The hacker is said to have bought Ethereum (ETH) with the funds stolen from Drift.
