Forecast Trend Report by Period

The Solana Foundation has introduced a new framework and incident-response network to bolster security for decentralized finance projects on its blockchain.
Cointelegraph reported on April 7 that the foundation, together with Web3 security firm Asymmetric Research, launched STRIDE. The structured security program assesses and monitors the security posture of Solana-based projects and includes incident response when breaches occur.
STRIDE evaluates projects across eight areas: program security, governance and access controls, oracle and dependency risk, infrastructure security, supply-chain security, operational security, monitoring and incident response, and log management and forensics. The results will be made public, providing users and investors with transparency into a protocol's security standards.
The move comes after a recent major hack. Drift Protocol, a Solana-based derivatives trading protocol, previously suffered about $280 million in losses in a social-engineering attack attributed to a group believed to be linked to North Korea.
The Solana Foundation also set up a real-time response system. Through the Solana Incident Response Network, or SIRN, security firms will share threat intelligence and coordinate joint responses when incidents occur.
DeFi security threats remain persistent. DefiLlama data showed about $168 million in assets was stolen from 34 DeFi protocols in the first quarter of 2026. That was down from $1.58 billion a year earlier.
