GOPAX, a South Korean cryptocurrency exchange, said Aug. 10 that it will launch an "Energy-Saving and Emergency Economy Response Campaign" across the company as part of its corporate social responsibility efforts and a push to strengthen internal operations.
The campaign is designed as a preemptive response to rapidly changing external economic conditions and a global energy supply crisis.
Given that many employees already make active use of remote work, GOPAX plans to increase the proportion of staff working from home through the campaign. The move is intended to reduce energy consumption in office operations while improving management efficiency.
The company will also introduce a five-day vehicle rotation system for employees and staggered working hours as part of its energy-saving measures.
A GOPAX official said the steps came after considering what practical social responsibility companies can undertake amid recent instability in the global economy. The company aims to expand a remote-work culture that is already firmly established internally to achieve both energy savings and work efficiency.
