Michael Saylor, chairman of Strategy, said the company may sell Bitcoin if doing so benefits the company.
Speaking on the company's first-quarter earnings conference call on May 5, Saylor said he would not rule out selling Bitcoin if it serves the company's interests.
He added that Strategy could sell some of its Bitcoin to pay dividends and would signal that move to the market if it does so.
The remarks suggest greater strategic flexibility than the company's previous stance of emphasizing Bitcoin as a long-term holding.
