Story, a blockchain infrastructure provider for intellectual property used in artificial intelligence, said May 7 that it has integrated Web3 intellectual property project Azuki with AI game creation platform Verse8.
The move is part of a strategic partnership the companies signed in September 2025. Creators can now use Azuki IP on Verse8 to build interactive content and game worlds. The IP has completed licensing procedures and can be accessed through Story’s IP portal.
Verse8 is an AI-based platform that allows users to create and publish 2D and 3D multiplayer games using natural-language prompts alone. Story provides the infrastructure needed to use IP in that process, including licensing, copyright attribution and programmable royalties. That allows creators to work with IP in an environment with clearly defined rights and link it to monetization.
The integration expands creator participation through blockchain-based IP licensing, the companies said. They added that it offers an example of programmable IP being used in games and interactive content rather than simply being stored.
Story and Verse8 said they plan to continue building an environment that makes it easier for creators to use a wider range of IP and to expand an IP ecosystem based on licensing and royalty structures.
Story Chief Executive Officer Lee Seung-yoon said the company provided the IP licensing infrastructure that enabled Azuki to be introduced on the Verse8 platform. Story will keep expanding the ecosystem so creators can use IP in an environment with clear rights and pursue new forms of creation and monetization, he added.
